I was informed that Matthew McCleary's Eagle Scout project was a huge success. We got a lot done and made some firewood to be burned next year. Thanks again for all your help scouts and adults!
If there is somewhere you want to go within 4 hours of Des Moines, bring it to the meeting! If you want to work on Polar Bear Award, or go climbing, or wherever you want to go, bring it to the meeting!
The December campout will be held at Chichaqua Bottoms Greenbelt. It is scheduled for the first weekend of December. Be prepared for the weather. Its definitely going to be cold!
Service project - fill boxes for needy children around the world through Operation Christmas Child with Samaritan's Purse. Families are welcome to come and help pack! Bring cash donations to help pay for shipping boxes. We have $120 in donations and we would like to get to $350 total (50 boxes x $7/box). Scouts should bring a small toy and other small fun fillers for the boxes. Thanks to everyone that came! We met our goal with lots left over if we choose to do this again next year.  Friday, November 20 is the lock-in; 6-9 PM for guests; overnight for troop 188; invite friends who used to be in scouts, people who might want to join, held at HTLC Light House - South side of church - 517 SW Des Moines St, Ankeny, IA
